John Webster

John is a business studies graduate with senior management experience in the Automotive and Asset Finance industries stretching back over 25 years. Since establishing Good Solutions in 2001 he has used this knowledge to support a number of major clients in reviewing and improving their commercial activities.

Prior to establishing Good Solutions, John worked for Volvo for 11 years where his last role was as Sales Director of Volvo Trucks in the UK and Ireland. Previously, he had played a leading part in building the highly successful Volvo Contract Services business in the UK and Europe. He was Managing Director of four divisions, covering the Truck, Bus & Coach and Construction Equipment markets. During his time with Volvo John was also appointed Chairman of Volvo Truck Finance in Poland and was a non-executive director at two other Volvo subsidiaries in the UK.

Before joining Volvo, John gained valuable experience in a variety of sales and management roles within the asset finance subsidiaries of two major UK banks.

In 2008, John was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, which provides Mental Health, Learning Disability and Substance Misuse services for the people of Coventry and Warwickshire.

John has a broad range of experience and skills that he has successfully applied in a number of different and challenging situations. Although his most recent appointments in industry were more of a strategic nature, he retains a passionate commitment to sales excellence and customer care.

Simon Northover

Simon has known John since the early 1990's when they first worked together at Volvo. Today, apart from his work with Good Solutions, Simon runs his own marketing business which focuses on delivering marketing solutions for smaller enterprises.

Simon’s background however has been working within large, blue chip companies in the automotive, distribution and telecommunications sectors. He brings many years of experience from working in marketing services and senior marketing management roles and his particular area of expertise is in marketing communications and project management.

Simon brings a mix of hands-on experience and commercial awareness in order to deliver tangible results across a variety of marketing and business development projects.

Barrie Cload

Barrie has enjoyed a hugely successful career in business and has worked at the highest levels within a number of blue-chip organisations. He has run sales finance operations for Ford in Italy and the UK, and was instrumental in helping to build Volvo's global financial services business where he held the position of Executive Vice President of Volvo Truck Finance Holdings. Barrie retired from Volvo in 2000 and now works with his wife to run their own very successful business working in the hospitality and leisure industry.

Barrie brings great experience and wisdom to any business situation. He worked closely with John for many years and is pleased to continue their business relationship in an advisory capacity with Good Solutions.

Network

In order to provide a comprehensive and flexible service to our clients we have established formal links with a number of individuals and organisations that we have worked with and known for a number of years. This Network is made up of senior industry professionals and specialist organisations operating in areas such as marketing and market research; training and people development; travel and event management; and staff recruitment and selection.
